Cover Letter Tips

Do not underestimate the importance of a cover letter! Their purpose is to encourage the employer to read your CV and they can make a huge difference. Some employers may not even make it past the cover letter if they are dealing with a large number of applicants!

CV Tips

A successful CV should be simple, clear and concise. Choose a simple, black font and use a plain white background with no decoration. It must be word processed and should be well structured and easy to read. Aim for a length of two sides of A4 and never write more than three. If you are struggling, use a smaller font but make sure it is easy to read. Use bullet points, but sparingly.

Interview Tips

DO NOT BE LATE! First impressions are everything when you are going for a new job and this is not going to look good. Leave plenty of time to get there and plan a route in advance. Make sure you dress smartly and appropriately.
